Nice spot Jamie! It is entirely possible that Bad Roo's install of Upgrader has a problem with opening a .ruf file directly, and by running Upgrader and then opening the .ruf file it will work correctly.

Give is a go Roo and let us know if this solves your problem...

In the "Source Detail" box that lists the file name e.g "PBOX_001.DBN" and run Time (secs): 350.10
Can the Date and Time of the created file be displayed there?
this would be a great addition i feel.

the one shot timing mode would be nice to see the time counting up after setting off the start of the timed run too

The instructions on the download page say to make sure that the desktop software is upgraded to build 007, but I notice that build 012 is now available. Is this needed for the upgrade?

I am also having problems with Vista - following the instructions, I get the message from Upgrader "Unit not found - please ensure unit is connected and has power".

It does.

Each time I connect it it does a 'new hardware process" but successfully finds the Upgrader.

Any ideas?

I have a laptop with Vista and can't get mine to upgrade either. Just sits there with 'Connect USB Cable'. When I tried this yesterday I saw some action but it still didn't actually recognise the new driver. Now nothing happens on the Laptop screen at all and the PBox just sits there thinking there is no USB cable attached.

All this stuff is really a PITA for non computer people.

I just received my new DriftBox, and I registered it as required. I have been trying to activate the "addition functions", but it does not seem to work. I keep getting message on the DriftBox screen "To activate register free @ driftbox.com No. 3012924".

Incidently, I am using a PC with Windows Vista. Is this a problem?? Very frustrating!

you offer a new DriftBox firmware (v2.0.56) for a while.

you mention only the serial input module, but at least the .dbn format changed a bit (3 byte vs. 2 byte for velocity for more than 655 kph? ).

I'm with leecavturbo... 2 years is a long time to wait between drinks! I'm gonna be doing a lot more track work this coming summer and I'd love to see a return to a current / last / best laptiming display..... shouldn't be too hard to code up given that my original firmware had this functionality!

Any news as to when we can expect to see an update? pleeeease?

If you've got build 28 then you can upgrade to the latest, yes. The fact that you don't have the odo or altimeter is a giveaway that you're on older firmware.
